二回目の女性トレーナーと。三毛猫が背後の猫タワーに登っておれを見下ろしているのがカメラの視界に入ってたようで「猫かわいいわね！名前なんて言うの？」トークに華が咲いた。横にいたキジ白の後ろ姿も見せて、ちょっと変わった名前なんですよ、とかそんな話をした。
Lesson 10 の Part 3 からよね？と聞かれ、ああそうです、でも前回のレッスンで Part 2 用に自分が書いたメールの添削は時間切れでしてもらえなかったから、今日はそこから再開したい、と告げて、メールを添削してもらう。文書作成とかのビジネス経験ありとのことでめっちゃ厳しいタイプだったりするだろうかと少し期待？していたが、そこまで修正の嵐という感じではなく。二、三ヶ所。ただし、「ミーティングのアジェンダをメールで送るなら、各議題の所要時間も書いた方がいい」とか、Part 3 では「Openings で I am excited to meet you と書いたのに本文で I am not unable to attend because of another appointment というのは筋が通らないので I would be glad to meet you とか would be を入れること、I am excited to ... だと読み手は会議に来るものだと期待するけど実際には来れない連絡なので false hope になっちゃう、これが would be だと hint を与えることになり、来れないという本文を読む前から読み手は心の準備ができる」など、実践的な指摘をもらえた。やはりこういうのは普段から実戦で書いてないから全然そういう点に気を配れてないなと自覚した。
もし時間が余ったら次のレッスンには進まず（予習もしてないし）、キリもいいのでここでストップして適当に質問とかして過ごそうかと思ってたけど、would be 周りとか I am excited to meet you を I am excited to join the project とか I am honored to be a part of the project team とか書き直したらどう聞こえる？とかそういう話できっちり時間いっぱい使い切った。「他の生徒に比べて治すところ少なかったわよ」とか言われた気がする。あと途中で彼女が訂正したメールを誤って削除してしまって書き直すちょっとしたハプニングもあった。
半年以上かかって Lesson 10 まで終わり。なかなか大変。まあその分学ぶことは多いとも言える。学んだことが身に付くほどには実践の機会が作れてないのでどんどん忘れてるのが勿体無い。いずれはちゃんとこのコースを完了させたいけど、これまでと同じペースでやるかはちょっと考えもの。短期集中で片付けるか、しばらく中断するか。どうしたものかな。レッスンチケットが半額のときに集中レッスンでやり切る、とかの方がいいのか？
三連休で疲れも取れてきてるので久しぶりに休まず英語やる。明日はミスターヒップホップを予約した。

- 書き直しの方、社内向けなので too formal にならないように書いた、と言った。「たしかに semi-formal, semi-casual ね」と
- Dear project members, ともかける、と言われたが、これは Dear だから semi-formal として？その辺残り時間が少なくて突っ込んで聞けず。
- 「instead を使ったのは、それが会議に参加できないことの代替案に関する部分だからよ」
Grammarly が効いてる textarea にメールを貼り付けたら自分の書いた方はすぐに何ヶ所か赤線が引かれた（直すべきまちがいがあるということ）。ビズメイツのレッスンの予習では Grammarly を使ってもいいような気もするが、と思ってそういえばずっと前に「それだとトレーナーに指摘されるべき間違いを Grammarly が見つけてしまって言われるがまま理解も浅く直せてしまうのでレッスンが効果的でなくなる」と考えてあえて Grammarly にかけないようにしたのだった、思い出した。
